Question What is INTMD8's secret?????

How is Jim (intmd8) running 20 psi of boost w/ 774rwhp (about 912fwhp) on pump gas?

I would like to make my own turbo kit, much the same as he, but how is he getting away with the octane? Anyone know his compression/ how much timing was pulled?

Lol, there is no secret. The runs were made with about 60% 110 leaded and 40% 93 octane.

Compression ratio is 9.2-1. Total timing was 21 degrees. (made less power with more timing).

And fwiw, I think 774rwhp is closer to 840-850 flywheel horsepower.

If you want to make the most power on pump gas, keep compression low, and have excellent intercooling.

Unlimited dyno access might help too. I'm just jealous.

Okay....so 110 octane mix....how much power/boost are you running on the street?

And for the flywheel horsepower, I used a 15% correction factor. So I aimed a little high, lol.

But now I see a new setup coming in your sig. When is that beast gonna be complete? Which intercooler are you going with? And.....WOW!

Any ballpark figure on the power?

I usually ran the 110/93 mix on the street and 20lbs of boost. It was very tractable with the large exhaust housing and electronic boost controller. I ran 12lbs of boost on straight 93, which is a bit over 600rwhp.

My new setup is almost complete, and should be running in a couple weeks. (I need to get everything coated). I'm using two Griffin intercoolers mounted vertically, just ahead of the front tires.

I will probably run it at around 900rw, but the turbos can support a bit more.
