I've done really well on my budget / expectations. Most car guys I know are terrible with money though. I do a ton of research and shop smart. It helps a lot to not have the "I need that" mentality. It helps to do everything yourself and have access to a lift / shop. If I could do it all over again though I would have never done the bolt on > cam > head / cam intake. I would have skipped all the N/A mods and gone straight to a turbo setup that supported my goals. That would save the most money. If you don't have any goals or plans you're off to a bad start, kinda like life haha
