Default Nitrous to Turbo

Guys,

I spent all afternoon reading the sticky threads. They are awesome! Based on all the information there I feel confident that I can put together a solid turbo build. My question is what is the ongoing costs associated with a turbo setup. I ask this because im coming from a heavy nitrous setup and have spent quite the penny on cold air

outside of the motor itself my car runs on a th350 with a transbrake off the line. Cage and all the works to run 9.5s.

I just want a good idea of what it costs to keep a turbo car running at the track or if its an all up front type cost.

Thanks for the help guys

I guess you can just run round after round? (thinking street car shoot out where you can't lift the hood). Water or ice in the pits? Change plugs more frequently? Any tuning required between rounds based on turbo heat?

I change my oil and thats it. I've never changed my plugs or changed tunes . If you run a a2a intercooler then no need to change your water either.

That's so much different than worry about nitrous pressure and how much you have left. It's just hard to believe there isn't some catch to having a turbo.

Whats up fellow bumper dragger? Im converting over right now too. Our cars ran about the same too. Its not cheap but try to find some used parts and that will save you some big cash. I found a bunch of nice turbos on yellowbullet

Are you going to have a local build your kit or buy one from a sponsor?

Yea that comes with the territory....i have been reading on here for two years but just joined recently...I still dont post that much. Been trying to momre often since the mods want you to have X# posts to use some site functions...so i laugh when someone calls me noob/names or tells me i dont know what im talking about.
You can learn allot by sitting back and doing your research. the people that talk the most are usually full of hot air. Your learn more by listening anyway! LOL so i digress.
