I agree with calling Bob also. He gave me some great info when I was trying to decide on procharger or maggie. I wish he would have had the maggie kits for sale. I would have much rather given him my money.

Damn I forgot all about this thread. Within this year I will be buying a procharger from Bob at brute speed. I was about to pull the trigger on one of these kit a few months ago after talking to Bob, but I just couldn't come up with the funds and have started an internship with a new company. Within this year I will be guranteed a great job and can't wait to get one of these prochargers on my car!

Btw how much boost can you safely run on a stock internal ls1? I have always heard about 8psi I think. Could I get a D1sc procharger and run 8-9 psi on the stock block?

Yes you can get a D-1SC and run 8 psi on a stock block. Many run 9-10 psi on the stock block but I don't recommend running more than 8 psi. Bob

Well I'm running a 100 shot through it right now so it couldn't be to much harder running 10psi on it could it? How much power to the real wheels could a full bolt-on ls1 see with your D-1SC at 10 psi?

I thought about H/C to lol. There are to many things I think I will like about the Procharger rather than doing H/C. Your gas mileage won't go to **** with the procharger, you can get alot more hp out of a procharger, the badass sound of the procharger, and how badass it looks under the hood! Not to mention this way I won't have to tear into my motor. And hopefully I could see 120+ hp gains with a D-1SC kit at 8-10 psi.

Haha, my plans are to get the procharger and sell my nitrous kit and than keep on saving for a built FLT tranny. Cuz I know the stock tranny isn't going to last long at all with 500+rwhp. After reading through your thread I'm thinking 9-9.5 psi and make sure to keep my timing down lol!

BUMP, REALLY thinking about buying a used D-1sc kit myself. OP you any closer to getting that D-1sc?

I'm Curious: the D-1sc I'm looking at supposedly has around 11,000 miles on it, how many miles can a D-1sc go before it needs rebuilt? And what's considered high mileage for this head unit? (anyone feel free to answer, especially Bob)

As long as the head unit hasn't been sitting around for a long time, which can cause the seals to become dry, I would not expect you to have any problems with it for a very long time. There are people who have put over 100,000 miles on them. Check out this link. http://www.procharger.com/supercharger/blog/?p=97 Bob

So about how much time would you consider a head unit sitting around is starting to get to the point where it could possibly dry out the seals? A year, 2+ years, 4+ years? Thx.

I'd say anything longer than a two years. Bob
