twin turbos using 1 air filter
I have twin 70's that i am trying to run off of one 4 inch tee pipe and run an air filter off of it for fitment reasons. If i have both turbo air inlets going off of one pipe, will it potentially cause damage to the turbo wheels from pulling air from each other vs the top tee part with the filter attatched?

They shouldn't pull air from each other, although you don't want them cavitating. You'll need to find out how many CFM the turbochargers pull at a specific horsepower, and size your air filter accordingly. I would NOT use a Tee shaped like the one pictured, you want a better merge for unturbulent airflow.

ok, so in other words, i should try to find a split y outlet filter so that the air is always drawing from up top rather than the middle? just having a hard time finding a y'd filter

i would have to cut that tee because i have only about 6 inches of space between the turbos. I can leave an inch of pipe on each side of the top of the tee and use a shortened coupler to go on the turbine air inlet.

yep, thats exactly what i have to do. I can't find a one piece tube like that, so i'll just order two 90* silicone bends that merges into a dual flanged filter. I'd prefer a flat topped filter. as long as it flows well still

thanks rob but I actually think i've got a solution. 2 4in-3in 90* silicone reducer and from the reducers i will run the pipes into a dual flanged air filter. So it will look like So.jer's pretty painting, just with dual inlets. Will cost about $100 shipped. I think this will be a better solution than buying the metal tee.

As does the Audi RS4/6 and the Saleen twin turbo jobie! I think its because its easier to mount a MAF.
