Default New Comp 80mm,17psi,370ci, auto,777whp!DYNO SHEET ADDED!

Got the new comp 8079mm on the dyno at speed inc. At about 17psi using a 50/50 mix of 93 and 110 is made 777whp and 787ftlbs. This is on a 9.5 370ci with ported 241s and a 232/236 cam.

Running through a locked 4l65e and a moser 9inch with 325 gear.

I'll post the graphs tonight.
I'm very happy with the results, car picked up 100whp going from the tc78 347 to this turbo and engine.

Thanks comp, speed inc and finish line transmission.

Very Nice!

You had an issue with the first Comp turbo, right? If that was you, what ended up being the problem?

Yes I had a back pressure issue with the first 80/79mm. It was 4:1. Comp stood behind their product and sent me a revised one. They said all they did was change the design of the comp wheel. Either way world of differance. I didn't measure back pressure this time but a 10lbs spring did 9psi so its probably not that bad. I was loosing about 4psi through my crappy ebay intercooler. I think that would bring me in the low 800whp range.

Good to know that all those years of recreational drugs haven't claimed all my brain cells.

Nice! I have the T6 80/84 Comp Turbo, trying to dial it in now. Good to know they straightened it out for you. How does it spool compared to the TC78?

I can't really go there due to no cage, I go to byron now. Hoping 2012 will finally bring me a 9 second run. I have full suspension and qa1s launching off a t brake this time and 100whp more then my 10.4 run.

So was the old turbo t4 and is the new one t4?
My 87mm turbing 1.25 ar t4 bw was at 1.4 bp at 13 psi boost. I ran the same times on 15psi as I did 25psi.

I also have a ebay air/air what size is yours?

Yes its a t4. I'm not sure what bp is on this turbo. Il do some testing in the spring. I'm sure its less than my 348 tc78 at 16psi. Not sure the dimensions of the intercooler, its 4inch thick, about 14 inches tall and from fog light to fog light long

bad6as, what exhaust were you running when you were doing the bp pressure testing? Also what size engine? Im running a 1.32 ar with a 3.5 dp and an open cutout.

Nice numbers, glad you got it figured out!

I wonder why the HP peaks so low though? I have a very similar setup, 370, LS6 cam, stock 317 heads, and my PT7875 peaks at 6100 rpm.
