Wasn't sure what section to post this under, but since most forced induction guys have been to a dyno tuning facility, I thought id get the best responses from here.
Ok I'm in northeast Ohio and just about need to get a base tune and dyno tune. I've looked into Smokey's dyno in North Canton and Dynotune Motorsports in Columbus. So far, those are the two I feel most comfortable with. But recently someone told me that he knows at least 4 people who got their motor blown up by Smokey's.
I've heard nothing but good about Brian from Dynotune Motorsports but it's more of a drive for me.
I wanted to see if any of you have first hand experience with these two dyno facilities and what you would recommend.
If there are any better places that you've had good luck with near Akron Ohio, let me know
Thanks in advance

I know there is stock shortblock turbo camaro running around columbus that was tuned at dynotune. Pretty sure he's pushing 14lbs too, so the tune has to be on.
When i get mine tuned, its going to between big3 in brunswick and dynotune in columbus.. all depends where ill have the car more as id like to be close to my tuner

CRT Performance in Norwalk Ohio. 2 miles from Summit Motorsports Speedway. Great people and awesome tuners. They tuned my bolt on 99 Z28 last Spring and pulled 370rwhp 364rwtq on a Mustang chassis dyno. They also installed and tuned my 408 Supercharger engine in my 98 Trans am last fall. They are doing my Vortech Ysi intercooler and tuning next winter after I put some miles on the 408. I highly recommend them.

I'd rather not go leaking his name. But I ended up choosing Brian at dynotune. I've heard nothing but good about him. I sent my PCM to him for a base tune.
I just feel like some of the things Smokey's was telling me were just for the sales pitch and after talking to Brian, it seemed like I wont have to worry about any bs.
I'll tell him BMW turbo guy says hi when I go down there and I'll let everyone know how it goes

Seen plenty of garbage come out of smokeys. They got money to run a shop but no knowledge. They made some pulls on a nitrous car at a dyno day, 13:1 compression and sprayed a 125 hit at 31* of timing, and 13.5:1 afr. Was told from the guys there that that was "SAFE"

SD tune, drives awesome. i want to run 10~11lbs, but i have a manual boost controller and i cant keep enough pressure on top of the gate to hold it steady. So i turned the **** a lil more and once it fully spools it hits 12 but settles to 9lbs(which is the spring pressure) pretty quickly.
