Hey guys, I was looking at aluminum radiators in Summit and Jegs. They were giving hp ratings for them, and the one I was looking at said good for 400hp. How important are those ratings? Can a 400hp radiator support 600-700hp with a 160 deg thermastat and some nice pusher fans? I figured boosted motors would put out more heat.

Seems a daft way to rate them
My biggest issues with cooling where at low speed, traffic etc. So below 2000rpm how much power was mine making ? Probably way less than 400bhp. Does that mean I needed a very small radiator ?
I dont think so.
IMO bigger is better. Fit as big a radiator as you can. Puller fans are more efficient than pushers if you have room.

Well I can't go with a huge radiator, the plan is to recess the radiator into the core support and run pusher fans, to make more room in front of my truck accessories.
