I'm thinking this spark plug gap is a little too tight???

Dang Alky I was rooting for you that it hadn't cracked the block.

That's number 8 isn't it?

Did you get the rotating assembly from a vendor?

Maybe you can work something out to get a 4.030 bore set of pistons and plop an iron block in there?

Nope, it's #7 that went boom. I'm perfectly fine with staying stock cubes. I don't want to add any weight to the front end, so staying aluminum.

well poo.... it looked fine in the older pics....

$1100....not that bad for a new one. unless you can find a used one. Call them and see if they can hook you up with one. maybe an exchange for yours? I dont know what the hell theyd do with a cracked block, but its worth a try i guess.. good luck man.

Yeah, I'm not about to drop over a grand on a block that still needs to be machined. I'm working on trying to locate a block locally that'll be fine.

The important question is what caused the block to crack? Did cracking the ringland off do it? I don't know.

Yikes. I bought my new ls2 block for just over $1100 I would never pay more than $200 for an ls1 block

This really suck Brien. I will try and get my old block back and let you know what I come up with this week.
