Default what wastegate?

What wastegate is everyone using? Plan on going Forged LS1 with a PT76 or similar then moving up to a 408 with a pt88 or so

I went with Percision. You get more spring options for free and a quality wastegate. Heres a link comparing Tial and Percision. Hope this helps.

Is there any downfall with going bigger say a 60mm instead of a 46mm or vise versa? New to the FI game thanks for the help all.

Buy the biggest you can afford so you buy it once and control boost better. Plan out your HP goals and purchase accordingly. You don't want to have to waste money twice.

Tial 44mm MV-R here. Excellent quality, and all tial wastegates now include all springs, so you're set on that aspect.

When using a diaphragm style wastegate without a boost controller using a larger then needed wastegate can lead to slower spool

I won't use anything but at synapse wastegate now , used to use tial and after blowing up a motor because of it and seen others as well ,I did a lot of wastegate research ,synapse design is for more advanced then most others and they don't use diaphragms so there is no worry about the many issues they cause
Add to it they have a range of adjustablity and proved excellent boost control
I've never seen a boost spike since I've started using them !
