Think if you had that 88 on a real motor, aka any ls platform and at 25lbs, what it would put out...hell of a lot more than only 600hp and thats probably at what, 7000rpms?
im with this guy,imo that was a downgrade, is pretty cool though

It's a clean swap and I can't knock him for that. Definitely a unique setup.

Is it me or does this not even look like a 2000. Judging by the headlights, it looks like an lt1 car to me...

I don't think so honestly , that car ^ looks pretty beat , so unless he has redone the body and paint and interior probably not the same car

Im a little lost in the reason. I would think you do a sawp for reduced cost, and increase in power? That engine cost more to build, and will have less power at the same boost level in a LS1. Nice work, maybe he did it for the shock, and awe. Nice work.

Talk about lag city.... here we come!

It would sound like too. Imagine hearing that thing take off at a light, I could care less it just whooped my *** (with all that lag, it may not), Id be laughing the next 2 miles down the road after hearing an fbody sound like a toy remote control car. Its like cutting off the ***** of the beast IMO.

And for real, tired of plug changes? How often does that happen? Is the car not tuned and burning plugs like a ****? If you are a true muscle car junky, you wouldnt care!
Wonder how much weight was just added and cutting down the cubes by more than half...no replacement for displacement IMO.

At least its a clean install. Looks legit.
I haven't been on tech much lately, but boy do I miss some of the boner f-body fanboys on here. Reminds me of some of the mustang tools on corral.net.

The guy was lying about what his car had...That's all.

This. It's as funny to me as the rx7 (rotary) guys that freak out when someone swaps a ls motor into one.

I have no issue with him swapping in a 2jz for an lt1, but to say he did it because it was tough changing plugs is a bit of a stretch.

The OP has been wrong on numerous things about the car. You think he actually knows why the swap was performed?

Being that it was an lt1 car, he probably got tired of changing the optispark distributor, not the plugs themselves. That's the reason I swapped an ls1 into my lt1 car in years past-and never looked back.
