LS1 - Max boost w/ pump gas & low compression setup?

Anyone on here that's running a low compression (say 8.5:1 ish?) setup pushing the limits on how much boost you can make with pump gas (91 or 93)... What's the most you think you can run or have run *safely without the use of E85/race gas? Once I get the money I want to pickup a turbo kit, and I want to know is swapping an LQ4 really worth the extra boost potential or is the LS1 just fine?

I cant answer the question because im still building mine but might wanna add a meth kit to the setup to get alot more out of the setup with pump gas.

Yea, I forgot to include that... although I just saw an LS6 vette push 900whp on 18psi, low compression (like 8.2:1), and 91 octane no meth. I bet with meth it could be in the 20 + psi range. LS6's strength wise aren't too superior to LS1's so I'm assuming an LS1 would be similar.

I was planning to run a ball bearing 76mm turbo, .96 a/r I haven't decided which company to buy from. Although the turbo kit I want comes with a journal bearing turbonetics TC76, so what would be the max boost I could run with the one that comes with the kit?
