Default Wire feed M.S. V band flanges to truck manifolds?

Has anyone done this? I would of coarse preheat it but since I am using mild steel V bands could I get away with mig welding them to my truck manifolds?

Or should I just go over to my tig buddies house and use what rod just 70S2 the same that is in my mig?

I am also tempted to weld 45s to the truck manifolds and then weld the Mild steel V bands to the 45s. If I go that route with 16 gauge tube would wire feed work as well as tig if I pre heated it?

No point in preheating.. you only do that with really thick stuff. Weld it like normal steel. MIG/TIG they both do the exact same thing. Just a different method. Theres no trick to these manifolds... just weld them.
