I think you'll be happy with your choice. For the price, it's hard to beat.

You still in Bamberg?

PHEW ok heres what ive considered getting after some research and asking around and crosschecking. heres whats what

on3 t76 turbo with either a 96 or 1.0 ar twin scroll
sts based piping and odds and ends
tbolt clamps
independant oiling system (two pumps, oilcooler )
18x13x3 intercooler (fits inbetween the foglights)
60# injectors
Racetronics fuel pump
boost gauge
WB gauge
oil pressure gague (for the rear oiling system)
Catch can
exhaust wrap from headers all the way to the turbo
evenyally will quick spool valve it after i research mre on how to actually get it to run lol but its in the works. thats why im starting with such a big AR in the frst place.
Shooting for 500HP with a good tune. gonna keep it under 10psi. starting with a 7lbs spring to ensure that.
There goes the 10 bolt haha imo i would upgrade the rear before turbo, cause once the turbo is in, its gonna be hard to stay out of it.

I think he'll be ok for what he's doing. Highway runs, not launching hard like an NA car. You won't see 500 hp until after 5000 rpm, and that will likely be in 2nd gear, not in 1st. You probably won't get to more than 5 lbs boost in 1st, which is going to be good for your rearend. You're going to be amazed... it will be progressively faster from 1st to 2nd to 3rd.

thats mostly what im looking for anyway, i want boost to realy hit when im partially down the track and picks up speed violently afterwards lol i dont want insta-burnout everytime i hit the throttle, i can do that without a turbo lol

ok while im waiting, was wondering about injectors.
now i know 60lbs injectors are common place for 600+ applications. which im searching for, but whats the max i can get out of 42lbs injectors?

Generally speaking, it's 10:1 ratio... for the max safe limit. Some push the duty cycle very close to the limit. I'm using 60 lb injectors and we were seeing some 95% duty cycle moments at the upper RPMs.

i.e 60 lb injectors---> 600 rwhp
42 lb injectors --> 420 rwhp
80 lb injectors --> 800 rwhp

This is just a ballpark rule of thumb (for 91/93 octane). If you're running E85, you'll need to adjust up 20% or so.

yeah i figured. damn. im aiming roughly for 500ish. ill stay away from 600hp until i get a stronger tranny and rearend lol both stock
I know 60lbs are for 600 range but i was wondering if 42s would get me close. i keep readin about 50s range and how they should be stayed away from since they are "difficult" to tune for.

so what your saying and what i was thinking in the first place is just get some 60lbs injectors lol

I hear ya... I didn't think I'd be hitting that high duty cycle just yet, but I think the LS9 cam really helps the motor breathe.

I've been looking at the E85 too! Tempting... there's a station about a block from work, but none for 8 miles near home... hate to get stuck away from a station on my daily driver...

lol well no e85 anytime for me. kinda hard to find that in germany lol

well i guessing ill stick to 60lbs injectos when im ready to buy some. im still piecing together everything. right now im focusing on the oiling side. got an fittings and oil flanges coming.

now for a few more questions... while i wait some more lol stupid internation shipping

1. is an 0.08 restrictor ok for this journal bearing turbo?

2. how are the tilton oil pumps? found one for a really good deal with hoses, cooler and fittings

3. 4an for feed hose and 10an for drain all the way back is ok right?

4. can i have the check valve right on the feed flange or do i have to give it some room?

5. should i put the cooler pre or post scavenger pump?

6. should i go 2.5" charge pipe or is the sts 2.25" charge pipe size ok?

Should be fine with that. I can't remember if they give you one when you buy it or not.

2. how are the tilton oil pumps? found one for a really good deal with hoses, cooler and fittings
No idea... sorry...

I would give it some room...

5. should i put the cooler pre or post scavenger pump?
I would say pre scavenger pump. Reduces the heat that gets to the pump unit.

6. should i go 2.5" charge pipe or is the sts 2.25" charge pipe size ok?
I would go with the 2.5" charge pipe personally. I think 2.25 is just too small.

Chimed in where I could....

alright, well ive ordered everything for the oil system. heres list of a few things coming
tilton oi pump with an oil coolers (got it cheap so what the hey)
4 and 10 an fittings coming 90s and straights
10ft of 4AN stainless braided lines
12ft of 10an stainless braided lines
ls1 oil cap with 10an male built into it
some couplers
4",3.5", and 3" tbolt clamps
check valve with 4an male ends
taped engine oil block off and a 4an fitting for it
hose barb for wastegate boost reference
a turbo trans am PCV check valve (thought id try that for the PCV section)
T4 flange

gonna just keep it simple and go with the traditinal sts oil route. better quality of course lol

I was also wondering, I seen some top mounted intercoolers. yes i know a front mount would cool more efficently but if i could get a good sized intercooler in the ram-air section were the original air lid is and put some thing simular to the procharger air plenium but as an intercooler. ive been looking at RX7s for reference and ideas

and now i know the difference between turbos. the overall size is not as differnent as the internal dimentions. just take a look at the compressor inlets and turbine outlets. Should be alot more breathign room for the LS1 now.

ON3 T76 t4 .81AR vs DNA T70 t3/t4 .81AR twin scroll
