Default Re-ring for turbo?

I've got an LME LQ9 408 that was originally built for a large shot of nitrous. It has a Lunati rotating assembly with Wiseco -8cc pistons in it. The build sheet shows the ring gaps to be .026 for the top ring and .020 for the second ring. I'm now planning on going with a single front mount turbo setup with goal of 650rwhp-700rwhp. Pure street car, not a max effort setup. The motor currently has approximately 4k miles on it. Does anyone think I should pull it and have new rings put in for boost?

4k miles? Nah bro. Maybe gap the second ring a little bit more. .030 or so?

Reusing those rings won't be a bad thing at all.

I'd imagine a big nitrous hit would be harder on rings than boost.

Either way, the 2nd ring sounds a little tight

The only harm that can be done is from too tight a gap. Too big wont be a problem at all.

if it's just a street car, hardly worth pulling the engine to change stuff.

You will be good to go with the gaps you currently have. .020" on the second is .005" per inch of bore. That will be adequate for the second ring at the power levels you plan to reach.
