Mine came in monday from summit and thanks to this thread i took my time to check and yup!! part numbers were different and gaskets only came in 3 layers..... Called summit,, but have to say they are great at what they do to satisfy customers.... New set on the way should be in on monday.... Hopefully they make sure i get the correct ones like the guy said i should....

Glad to hear they took care of you! Wish I could say the same about gm parts direct it was my first experience with them and it will be the last! They were extremely unhelpful but.... I digress

i don't have my motor here so this may be a stupid question, but can you see the part # when they're installed with the heads on or not? flame away! lol

yes you can with the ls9 gasket. I can snap a pic tomorrow but there is a little tab that sticks out under the exhaust ports that says SC12622033 And only the ls9 gaskets have this

Just checked mine, they are 6.0L 3-layer gaskets with the ls-9 part number on the the packaging!!! Got them from my local chevrolet dealer, they will be going back monday!

made my way over to the machine shop the other day and luckily, they were ls9 gaskets! glad to have that peace of mind again!

Well after i had found out mine were 3layers with the LS9 part number,summit send ups to pick mine up the day after i called them and 3 days later i had the correct ones delivered... summits costumer service is just great...

mine come from summit and one was right and one wrong. oh and the guy says they have no more anywhere in there warehouses so i would have to wait for weeks. i may just try and get the other from the dealer
