FYI, Midwest chassis sells a firewall kit that is pretty much the same as this as well.

Car is looking and sounding killer! Cant wait to see it out, and get some pics of it!

You are a bad bad man with that car. I'm looking forward to seeing this thing run some #'s!

Take a look at my junk.. coming along. Hopefully I can try to get it finished 1/2 as clean as your end results are!

Thanks Man. Well Heres the thing, I mocked up all this stuff before i brought the car home from my shop so Its pretty much just a matter of bolting it back on. The only thing that took forever was the wiring cause I wanted it to look mint. I would have to say, even though Brian Black took most of the work out of it by supplying the board with everything wired. Just to make it look good sucked. I prob had a week worth of nights in wiring. But all is good now. Going on the dyno Tuesday and shooting for the track on thursday.

BBC for me man. Screw that ls motor I want one that will stay together

I can put a 315 radial on it all day long, NO problems with that. The tires that are on there measure bigger both in height and carcass width.. but to be honest I won't put a set on until I know the car is leaving right with a slick. Slick will recover if it spins... and when I try to hit a good sized hit right off the brake, on a motor that's making over 1000 on nuts it's going to need that slick, and the wheelie bars I suspect LOL!

I just don't want to deal with the headache of the ls motor... start trying to make big power with them and the life expectancy just isn't there. You know... how many times did you hurt yours since making big power? How many times you think I will hurt a bbc with similar ET goals in mind? Probably not even close...

Plus for the 8.50 index I'm going to do 99% of my racing in, where wheelie bars are allowed, radials aren't required, and I can run any engine combo I want other then a nitro motor I think a big cube bbc is just going to work. 3 systems on it with 3 baby shots, so I can just adjust the power level by which one I turn on, is about as simple as it gets.

Nice big fuel leaker on top of it too.. becuase I like playing with jets and not injectors

And if I ever did put an ls anything in the car, it would have to be a blow thru F2r deal on alcohol, or a big screw charger on it with a mechanical injection system... something like that... just to be different.

If there's an ls engine builder out there that wants to put a D rotor screw charger on an ls motor with a mechanical alcohol injection system on it, feel free to give me a call I have plenty of car to put it to the test.... moving the motor plate back won't be a big deal.

Like Mike Brown said to me at Bradenton this year, running the LS motor is what makes it a challenge.

I'll give you a call Antolino.

I don't expect to be out for another year, maybe 2, our first little one ( daughter, expected date oct 21st ) will become the priority time wise, so it will take me a while to get the car to the point that I'm ready to put a motor in it. Going to start putting one together next year is the plan, buy a new glide after new years... Etc. I do this in cash, so it's sometimes slower going depending on how the side work goes. This year I was busy busy for the first 4 months now I'm hitting a dry spell... Happens every year in the middle of the summer. As soon as the car is home I'll have 5 cars lined up to work on lol, always how it works out.

Expensive doesn't even start to describe it. Making the power with a bbc hp for hp, is probably 2/3 the cost and 2/3 the maintenance down the road.

Went Like Garbage LOL
Something up with the timing file or something as far as the cam crank advance. We didn't have enought time to check it. We thoughtt here was an issue with the BS3. The car woouldn't rev passed 4700 rpm and kept braking up. So we never got a run on it. So we sent the files to BS3 to have him take a look and John Meany told us to check a couple things. SO have to go home today and see whats up.
