We did 30 turbo installs on the Toyota Prius! That truck should be a blast.

Every time I see a Sy/Ty getting a turbo LSx it gives me the itch. The more I think about it the more I look for a extended cab 4wd frame for my sonoma. As long as the T-case will hold it together this looks like LOADS of fun! AWD donuts FTW!

Transfer case has gone 8's....check youtube

trans is the issue -60E's don't last regardless of who built it -check the syty boards- they consider a refresh every couple of years for the mostly street builds.

4L80E swap needs a conversion input shaft for the transfer case as Dan mentioned. ~$600 IIRC
I got mine on a first run group buy considerably cheaper.
You find them for sale on occasion by someone moving on to a different project.
The V8 guys who tried cutting down the 80E output to the 27 spline 60E size broke them pretty quickly with strip use.

Nice build Jim/Dan.
What cam you running?

basically the same cam that is in my truck honestly i can remember the specs but it idles smooth has killer rpm pull and has been proven to make power.the goals of this truck were basically the same as mine:drive it anywhere all power options still working as well as awd,as a matter of fact the owner recently to me he plans on driving it out to california when it is done

How much different are the '10 camaro manis and the truck manis? I'm building a 1st gen S10, and plan to use flipped truck manis with the 5.3, and want to make sure that they will clear the stock steering shaft.

Truck manifolds don't clear at all, passenger hit the top of the shock mount, and the driver side hit the steering shaft and the steering gear box. Well my experience with a 92 typhoon awd. 2wd drive might be different tho.
