So after a long 4 years taking this car from a Bone stock 6 Speed SS to a very consistent low 9 second car and dipped into the 8s twice i have decided to part the car down to a roller. Right after yellowbullet i bought some FIC2000cc injectors went to the track dialed them in and on the last pass i noticed that my oil pressure did the exact same **** as before idle bounced around revved it up and would rise to 50-60ish under boost 10! So knew the motor was shot identical to the last one. Called a bunch of shops since i had an issue where i broke the flexplate and ever since i upgraded the flexplate the cranks have been going. Talked to a few transmission shops and TH400's are known for having high line pressure and needing a restrictor in them and will take out the thrust bearings. Very frustrating. I have worked my *** off on this car and it wore me down. I had it up for sale got actually some really great offers while hurt but then decided to just say screw it and do a narrowed 9" rear build the car way up go with a holley dominator get it light enough for some Ultra street racing. As i was getting a list together found a roller that was exactly what i was looking for. Picking it up in a couple weeks and will update then but its going to be badass and will run many events with this car. The number is 4.90 now!!! Thanks everyone for following along on my build as it was motivation to keep at it so much but a great car came up that i couldnt pass up. So everything on this car is for sale and would love to sell it as a roller so someone could keep it going. The car worked awesome at the track and set up perfectly for another turbo set up!!! Updates on the next car coming soon!!!!

Basically the restrictor lowers the line pressure so that the charge pressure does not push the converter into the flex plate which then knocks the thrust out of the motor causing issues like Doug experienced.

I hate to see you selling it. I loved looking at this thread and seeing the fabrication you guys are capable of doing. I've got my first build going on now and have looked at your pictures a ton of times to get an idea of what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing just in a much smaller scale. Good luck on your build, I'm sure it will be another great one to watch.

Here's my ad for the Roller. I really would like for someone to keep this car going all it needs is a motor turbo kit and it will be back out running low 9's all day long!
