Default only a tenth away from my goal :)

Took advantage of some cool weather today (50 degrees) and hit the local 1/8 mile track. Ran a 7.09 @ 98 with a 1.605 60' with the cutout open, 7.11 @ 97..7 (1.611) with the cutout closed (gotta love them dual/duals ). I cant wait to get this down a 1/4 mile track but I had trailer problems this weekend and didnt want to drive the car 400 miles with no o/d

3550lb raceweight, 440rwhp (converter unlocked), 7.5psi @ 6500rpm, 100% stock motor except for 918 springs and FLP headers. A/f was 11.2 to 11.0 through the passes so it has a little more in it but its safe, next time I'll lean it out with some 100 unleaded and see what happens

I would lke to hit 6.99 in the 1/8 and 10.99 in the 1/4 - its getting there, I really need to get the stall raised a bit. I know its nothing compared to the big HP guys out there but I want to bracket race this thing all year on the stock motor In ten passes today it ran within .04 so thats not bad for a blower car. Even got the wheels up every pass, sorry for the bad quality pic but my scanner is dead and I just took a pic of the pic..

Good to see you got a nice consistent setup running....

I can't wait to put consistent along w/my setup....

I think you can crack off some 11.1/11.2 passes.....

Sweet you are so close to the 10's...

Was the track not hooking or do you need more converter?

nice runs! Your doing excellent for that low amount of boost with a stock motor!

Nice pic, and great times with a stock motor and blower.

Need more converter, car dead hooks but I am getting the same 60's with my other car with a 3.23 and a ST3500. Its a TP4200 but was made for a pretty good sized stroker, it flashes to ~3500 or so at the starting line so upping it a couple hundred rpm sure wouldnt hurt the 60' - but then again I may start blowing the 10.5" ET streets away on marginal tracks with more converter. The 60' clocks at this track seem a little slower then some of the others around here so until i get to a real NHRA track I cant say for sure.

Probably easier to just lean it out a little on better gas and pick up 10rwhp or so but this poor motor has 270 head/cam/M6 leaving at 6000rpm passes from last year and a lot this year with the blower so I dont want it to go

You 'll get there... Keep it up and good luck... Try dropping the Y-Pipe and running the headers with just the extensions....

tried that on the dyno (the FLP y-pipe gets awefull small at the collector) but it really didnt change anything. It seems like no matter what I do with the exhaust, MACs, FLPs, open headers, open cutout, nothing ever changes - thats the advantage of making no power I guess But I do appreciate the deal on the FLPs, my main reason to get them was so I could put cats on the car when I cruise it and they worked out great..

On a well prepped track yes, on the crap local tracks no. I could always switch to a full slick. Now that I have an extra set of street tires/wheels i may do it when these wear out.

I have to screw the rims anyhow, the tires are moving about an inch now on every pass, so I may as well switch to ET drags I guess. I'd like to try more stall but I really should get some weight out of it - that would help the 60's more then anything probably. I just hate to overstall it and lose MPH plus make it drive looser then it already does. I just think the car should be ETing a little better for an automatic trans 98mph 1/8 and this track is not very generous with the MPH..
