front mount install help
Can some one give me the dementions of a large front mount that I could fit in a ls1 trans am. Is there some one who makes fbody specific Intercoolers other than the insanely expensive procharger kit? Is there an install write up or video?

I have a post started that walks through installing a front mount on a TA. There are quite a few actually. As far as specific ICs there are a few companies that make them...but most are rather expensive. Most guys end up getting an Ebay IC and just making the mounts for it.

With the bumper cover off. Getting ready to cut away the unneeded crush shell so the intercooler can fit.
I didn't realize beforehand that guys were cutting the steel support so I mounted mine in front of it. I barely fits, in terms of allowing the bumper cover back on but it 'does' fit.
As you can see, I used some aluminun angle stock from Lowes/Home Depot for brakets to hold/suspend the intercooler(which by the way was suprisingly heavy, considering it's aluminum).
My intercooler, I purchased off of Ebay. I believe the brand was OBX. Around $200 if I recall correctly. The piping kit (various straights, bends, couplers and really crappy T-Bolts) was a CRX kit of ebay. My LT1 turbo discharges toward the ground, the takes a ninety to the passenger side, then up into the front to inter the intercooler, then exits the intercooler on the drivers side, up thru the fender, then goes into the up pipe(which has my 50mm Tial Blow off valve) into the MAF, the nineties into the throttle body.
My OBX and a couple other guys front mounts pictures.
