Hey bro, forgot to ask. Is your radiator recessed or in the stock location? Got any updates on the project? Hp numbers? Videos?

Dr. Evil is rebuilding the trans now and it should be ready for pickup on Friday. I am sure we will be tuning next week. I know he got the dual pumps done and he is ready for the trans!

What did you use for accessories, what did you use for a crank pulley? I'm interested in your accessory drive/ blower belt configuration. I'm currenly mocking up a vortech s trim on my 6 liter project s10. I've been debating the seperate belt issue. I wasn't sure if there would be room for the seperate crank pulley between the fan shroud and the balancer.
Any info would be great.
Thanks,
Kory

Are you running the stock truck alt/powersteering bracket? DO you have any belt slippage? Any pics of the front of the motor. Thanks for the info. looking forward to your results.

Was your blower bracket custom made? Do you happen to have any pics of how the belt is routed. I think I have it figured out, but not sure. Thanks for the info. Your build is giving me motivation to finish my truck. 95 scab/sbox 2wd s10. 5.3/t56 vortech s trim. low boost daily driver.
What are you running for exhaust. I built 1 3/4"lt headers for my truck. will also be running 3" duals.
Should be fun.

the kit that i bought was for a silverado 4.8-6.0L so the bracket liked up perfect,i am using the sanderson shorty headers, dual 3" exhaust with 2 dynomax bullet mufflers then into a dynomax x-flow muffler with dual tail pipes out the right side,i will post more pics tommorow of the set-up so u can see it better,i wanted to do a t56 so bad but there not cheap,so went with a built 80-e good for a 1000hp,i wanted to buy the brp long tube headers but maybe later

well just been driving it,no dyno or track numbers yet, only seeing 10psi till 5,500 rpms then dropping down to 5-7 psi, alot of belt slip was hoping to see more then 10psi,thinking i might take the blower off and turbo it cuz its not making enough power,i think with a 6rib belt thats all the boost i am going to get,not sure if i will get dyno numbers or track times with the blower before i turbo it

There are ways of reducing the belt slippage. You can swap to a 8-rib with a little work, or relocate your idler pulley to get more belt wrap. I asked about it in the Performance Truck section. I'm sure if you solve the slippage issue, you'll see the hp you want. IMO you'll be able to drive the truck more if you stay supercharged, (less down time than the turbo fabbing)

+1

Yeah man dont give up on it that quick just because you have the usual belt slip.... You need to check your belt alignment, tighten the F out of the belt..... Get it as tight as you possibly can....then go a bit more.

Unless you can go to a different bracket setup with different tensioners/idlers for more belt wrap, the best you can do is get the belt super tight. You can easily make 10-12 psi on a 6 rib once you get the tension/belt wrap right...

Youre this close to getting it fixed right, why give up now? C'mon man tough it out... You can EASILY make 700rwhp with a P1sc but you have to get the belt slip resolved.... Does it not feel good to you at 5500/10psi before it loses boost?

Keep at it....You'll have a truely "one off" ride with the blower on it.... EVERYBODY it turboing stuff...atleast you did something different...

i am going to take it to the shop today try a few things, few ppl told me to sandblast the blower pulley to get more grip,i have both idler pulleys moved close to the blower pulley but could drill new holes and move the idlers closer to each other for more belt rap,but yeah it pulls pretty good at 10psi but then u can feel it falling off,so maybe these few changes will make a little more boost,i thought about a 8rib kit but i heard they are like 1,100 new for the truck set-up,i will post with update this afternoon and see how it goes

Remember the belt can be slipping on the balancer as well.... You need some wrap on the bottom...

A lot of the aftermarket blower brackets for C5/6s have multiple idler pullies, and one closer to the balancer to increase wrap on the balancer...

Surely the truck kits have something similar... you may have to make something though..

get your bracket back off and add the GM belt tensioner to it somehow. that is what Id find a way to do, and go 8 rib and your problems are solved....after the procharger gets past the belt slip, its pretty much solid. it prob going to make the power you are looking for, just not the tq.
