whats everyone runnign for an intercooler?

especially in hot climates like here in AZ? Air / water intercooler needed or bad idea for the street?

An air to water IC is not going to benefit you on the street. Best case, you put a heat exchanger on it and it performs similar to an air to air.

The ATW would benefit you greatly at the track though. Pack it with ice and get your IAT's below ambient. At the same time, you can always put a halo on an ATA and freeze it with N2O or CO2. It just doesn't stay as cold for as long as ice in the ATW.
