Default ?? oil pressure sensor??

so i have a 2000 trans am and i purchased a iron block for it because im putting a d1 procharger on it and i have it all installed and trying to put the alternator into place and it look like there is a oil pressure sensor in the way of where the alternator goes. was wondering if anyone could help me out here

any info would help thanks

so is that a secondary oil plug or something? and can anyone confirm this... i guess if that is the case the guy that built the engine for me, one of his techs must of just put it there or something... idk haha just trying to get this thing started again

The oil pressure sensor goes threads in behind the drivers side of the intake that's a oil galley plug I just went and looked at my block Google ls1 oil pressure sensor location

You may want to drill and tap the hole in the block that is missing while you have it all apart cause you are going to need it when you install the procharger. As said above the oil sending unit is in the wrong location

what hole are you talking about, i didnt know that i needed to drill into the block for anything?

can anyone conform that is a place where a plug should go and does anyone know what 68 ss is talking about when he said you have to drill a hole for the pro charger??

There is a boss in the block on the front right above where the oil sending unit is installed in your pic that is not drilled/tapped, on an iron block that is where one of the bolts for the procharger brackets bolts up.

The hole where you have the oil pressure sending unit is for a fact supposed to have a plug in it. The oil sending unit goes on the top of the block behind the intake.

68 ss is there any way that you can send me a pic of where i need to drill the hole, or should it say in the install manual or something or no since it would be there on a reg alum block???

If I remember correctly it is a 10mm x 1.5 I will check tomorrow and let you know for sure.
