Maxton had the nostalgia aspect, but when your racing on it the uneven pavement and slight curve to the track made speeds over 180mph interesting. Texas is nice but the lack of safety requirements is kinda a bad thing. The Ohio mile's first outting is next weekened so noone has any experience on that track yet.

I have heard the rules are a little relaxed at Texas. Maxton was very rule based like Bonneville, Ohio should be also. The turns at Maxton and the bumps did not bother me when I ran in 2005, the first turn was before you had much speed and the second one was after the chute was out. I did only run 205 and the boosted stuff is running much faster. They also have a newer track in Maine I believe that is 1.3 miles....

I saw Bob's Viper run at Mojave and it looked impressive.... but the MPH was nothing spectacular.
Hinson has one bad *** powerplant... wonder how much of a factor the Z06 roof line will play as it is not as aerodynamic as the coupe.

5 mph faster w 50 less hp stock on a reg coupe. I'm sure the power they are making it won't make a difference.

Fawk yeah can't wait to see what this thing does. Funny how far these motors have come. Anyone else remember when LSx's hitting a thousand ponies was a damn big deal? Seems we've hit a new standard!

Good luck guys, loved checking the car out the other day...thanks for being so cool and letting me hang around the shop waiting to get my Goat tuned while Lane had the Vette out getting it aligned. Awesome guys to be around (Lane, Buddy, and Ryan). Be safe, and God Speed Hinson Crew! Kick ***!
