That's awesome! I am also curious how much boost you are running. What happened to the built motor?

Thanks for the good words guys! I was running between 18, and 20psi of boost gauge would spike 20 on shifts then settle back to 18. As for my 370 I sold it to (spoolin) here on the forum a year and half ago. It's still running fine last time I heard.

I used to have an x-cab 4X4 with a KB manifold and 70mm turbo on a stock 170k mile 5.3 that ran 12.9's on 12psi. Setup ran great for 2 years. It now has a forged 6.0 with a slightly larger turbo at 13 psi but has not been back to the track.

I was drooling over your truck when putting mine together, congrats on a solid 9 sec pass. Any plans for safety equipment and more track time?

Nope no plans to add safty equipment to this truck I have a 72 Nova with a 8.50 cage that I will be running soon this truck is just a daily driver parts chaser I don't take it to the track very often, and when I do I bracket race it at 11.50.

I dont see what the big deal is. I had a car that ran 12.50's NA. But I guess a 13.25 isnt bad for a truck! Lol! JK!

Why did you decide to swap to the stock bottom end (if you don't mind me asking)?

Glad your liking our GT76. Killer pass for just a small 76mm turbo. That sucker makes some power.

Simply awesome. I'd like that exact dirvetrain in a Jeep Cherokee Sport. That would make for an excellent daily driver, dirt toy and embarass nearly everything from the stop light!
Killer truck!

Fantastic! I am very impressed, I am currently researching the right parts to throw at my LS1 swapped vehicle, a 1998 2wd Toyota Tacoma (sleeper!)

It weighs around 3000# as it sits now, hoping to get into the 10s once I add some boost, but I know for sure traction is going to be my problem, it already is and I am still on a stock tune unmodified 2001 LS1/T56, well, it has a cold air and custom headers I built, that are probably going into the trash since I need to build new headers for turbo, or maybe a rear mount, but seems front mounts just seem to work better and also less complicated in some ways as well.

Still doing research on what to do to the motor and what turbo to use, I can build a complete system for a Toyota, but not to well versed on the GM stuff as far as what are the weak links and what needs to be upgraded and the limits of certain components. Still doing tons of research.

For example I could run 20psi through a stock Tacoma motor (2RZ 2.4L) with nothing more than head studs and MLS gaskets, it made about 350rwhp, so it wasnt a slouch, more like a 500cc 2-stroke dirtbike, lol. I built a motor for 30psi and the turbo failed spitting metal into the engine destroying things, most of all my determination in the build, I pulled it out and slapped in a 2001 Camaro drivetrain and it is almost as fast as the 4cyl turboed motor, but certainly has far more torque from 1500rpms on up. It is a good start but I sure do miss the turbo.....

Mad props to you my friend ~

rear mount is not hard... especially if you has as much ground clearance and room as a truck... do a rear mount and save the money from your already bought headers... i hit full boost at 3000... hows that for lag?

Rear mount would surely allow me to keep the headers intact, which is nice since I had to fully custom make them to clear the steering on my truck, I would rather not have to build another set.

I just see so many bad stories about oiling issues, I dont want to be that guy, but I guess if you use a quality scavenging pump and put the check valves in the right places it should work fine.

Do you have a build thread on your rear mount? I would like to see what you have for a setup...I would like the have an oiless Comp turbo, but when I saw the price I think I will skip it, lol. Well out of my budget
