I'm doing this same thing on my new Top Sportsman build. Gear driven F3-136 on a 18* BBC, 16 injector on methanol. A turbo setup is not good for the type of racing I do with this car so boost via Procharger it is. I will be using CO2 on the gate however.

Assuming you are not changing gearing, 8 psi into the engine will be harder on the drive and head unit. When it makes 15 into the engine it will move less volume of air, this keeps the load in check.
Reducing the psi by reducing the inlet is better for the parts, but harder to regulate.

I'm in the middle of the same thing. Just ordered a F1R for my combo. What size wastegate should I be looking at? I was also looking at the older style E-Boost. I want to run 16psi on my 91+meth tune and 23psi on an E-85

Hey I think you will need at least a 66mm w/g but i dont know anything about the Eboost but the AMS works great. jeff

Hey man I only got to run 2 full passes both being basicly shake down passes the best being 6.33 @ 114 but we decided to turn up the boost for the 3rd pass and I picked up something in the water box and cut my L/R slick but still ran a 6.60 @ 13.5 on a flat tire. jeff

Ok I dont know if this will work but I have two scans from my hp tuners scanner that im going to try to upload on here but not sure if everyone will be able to read them or not but if not and someone has a better way please let me know. On the first scan we launched with 2 psi and ramped in to 16 over 4 sec. and the second we launched a 4 and ramped to 16 in 2 seconds. thanks jeff
