No you know you might be right... I know what you're saying. It would be cool if there was a way to measure the engine hp and wheel at same time. So when you start cranking boost you might be able to see dramatic loss from the lower setting. But you might be a bit right it could be slipping a bit. It could also be a conjuction of things with that. But I'd hope that it wasn't atleast.

Just log engine RPM vs output shaft RPM...they should be the same in 4th gear.

Usually with backpressure boost goes up and hp stays the same.

With valve float what exactly happens? HP stays flat and makes no more power with more boost?
