LOL, it's easy to get carried away on these projects. Looks great so far! Sometimes I wish I would have went flat black with mine. I get stressed out sometimes driving it, and I built the car to drive and enjoy. Makes it less fun when your worried about it.

Been covered up with work lately. Have gotten some detail stuff done. Added some gussets to cage, finished up ARB install, trimmed/sealed around shocks coming through trunk floor, moved pass side motor mount back for a/c compressor clearance, etc...

All boring stuff, BUT.... Blake built my headers last friday and Monday and they are super sexy!

The nerve of this Blake Hughes guy! He shows up at my shop, runs me off and I come home to this:

The insides of the welds are just as pretty, since he purged the headers with argon while welding. He has about a day and a half in these from standing in front of the car staring for 2 hours to completely welded and bolted up. As much as I would like to take credit for the stainless welding, it was 100% Blake. Thanks buddy, no one would have done a better job.

Some of my "crappy" welding/fab work:

As you can see the top is off the intake, blake is fabing a custom top that is going to be something no one else has done. It's going to be super trick and that's all I'm saying until it's done.

I've done most of the work on this car myself with the help of my 2 teenage sons Andrew and Chancler. But without buddies like Blake this project wouldn't come out even close to this good.

Not a lot to show but did rework the opening for the steering column and modified a new Flaming river tilt column.

Picked a powder coating color for chassis parts, roll cage and interior sheetmetal, will match paint to powder coat. Eventually when I do paint the car it's going to be a Nickel pearl/very faint pewter color. The dark bronze metalic with gold wheels and that color go great together and when the car is completely finished I want it very subtle. I want non car people to walk right past it and gear heads to stop and study it for half and an hour (the way that drives girlfriends/wifes nuts)

The heat wave that started a month ago put a halt on progress if my ChevyII. With an air conditioning business the weather dictates when you have to work.

Going on trailer tomorrow to 417 Motorsports in Springfield, MO for Christmas open house/toy drive. Blake is going to finish the hot and cold side, custom sheetmetal manifold top, alum rad support, etc... The car will probably stay there until it makes lots of tire smoke.

Anyone interested in any turbo setup from truck manifold setup to full on custom tubular fabrication work, chassis work, late model superchargers, custom suspensions, big brakes, etc.. Blake's the guy!
