5.0 Ford to 5.3 ls swap, can I break even.

Going back next friday with some of my issues fixed. Got my Holley coils hooked up so I can crank the boost and fixed my BOV so it won't open and I can get to max boost before 5000rpm. Then I am going to pull the air filter and exhaust off to see if it helps any.

That seems slow. I have seen the FI91 fully lit by low 4k's on a 5.7. I know it has extra displacement, but also a larger turbine as well as a T6 housing. I am really hoping to have my s480 spooled to 15 psi by 4500 with the 92mm turbine in a 1.10 T6 housing.
Good luck on the dyno today!

Well I didn't get up to 15psi but I did manage to get it up to 13psi and she put out 587/697. I figured out that I had too much fuel in the acceleration enrichment. The car doesn't go rich when I whack the throttle and it gets into boost much faster now. I almost ditched it the first time I jumped on it. Throttle response is way up too. On the dyno the boost is bleeding down from 190kpa to 165kpa. On the street she holds pretty steady.
P.S.- 91 octane/windshield washer fluid at 14 degrees.

Well I have been driving this thing quit a bit. I must say that I'm an idiot for not switching to the ls platform sooner. I haven't had one problem with the car. It makes crazy power, gets 25mpg and I haven't had an exhaust leak yet. I may end up swapping the th400 out for a 4l80e. The car cruises pretty good on the highway but it's just a little bit loud. I'm going to fix up the exhaust some to see if it helps. I'm going to the track tomorrow night weather permitting with 587whp. Anyone want to guess what she runs?

With the power I'm making it better run that and then some. It ran an 11.1 with a shitty tune and 450rwhp and a horrible 60'. It ran 126mph so with a decent 60 I'm pretty much there. I'm really thinking its going to run a 10.0 if the track has any prep at all.

It ran a 10.502@130.19 with a 1.7 sixty. The track just wasn't there tonight (snowing). I almost put her into the wall twice. I ended up lowering the boost to 9psi and it held a little better. I don't have my shift light hooked up and I ended up shifting at 5600 instead of 6500. Best part of the night was getting called out by the fastest car at the track. I hadn't made a clean pass but I did get one good 1/8th mile in so I new I was getting close. I cut a .026 light to his .403 and beat him by 1.132 seconds. I hot lapped it and it ran a 10.566@133.16 in a 1.74 60, I shifted a little higher on this pass.
