I'm looking for something more daily and stock or an old C10 that I can dump my 6.0 in and drive every day. Asking 11k. Only been to the track twice and it ran 10.50@133 on 9lbs.

How old a C10? My next door neighbour brings alot of chev trucks up from the states. He may have a line on a nice southern piece. He knows his **** with the chev trucks for sure. Some of the stuff he gets is ridiculous. Keep it in mind if you are looking for a clean solid truck. Trust me, it would be worth the drive to here if he has a line on one. No joke.

I put the stock cam back in the car and it may get a 4l80e soon as well. I don't go to the track very often so it's time to make the car into a go anywhere anytime ride. The stock cam makes way more low end torque and 6 or 7 more inches of vacuum. She's a fuel sipper now, lol. I think I may even pull the coilovers off the front and go back to the stock stuff for a smoother ride as well.

So I finally has some time to mess with the car. I found that I had may MAP sensor scaled wrong and my 10.50@133 pass was with 14lbs of boost not 9lbs like I previously thought. I drove the car 80 miles to the track each way this weekend made a bunch of shitty passes because my car won't hook but did get one decent pass in. Went a 10.46@134.77 with a 1.68 60' with 13lbs of boost. I had to pedal the car for the first 4 seconds of the run to keep it hooked and I only had 12.3 degrees of timing in it. I was trying so hard to get the car to hook that I forgot I had pulled the timing way out of it for the street. I had dumped in 5 gallons of E85 so I was probably around E50, I could have put more timing in it. I'm going to have to plot the suspension out now to figure out why I can't hook and I will probably throw a locker or spool in it. Once I get that figured out it can start getting after the tune up.
Stock cam for the win, lol.

Car is away for the winter. When it comes back out it will have a triple 12 cam in it and some relocated uppers. There is no reason it shouldn't run some mid nines with this setup I just need to dial it in. On a side note a have been tossing around the idea of a turbo for my 1200 ski-doo.

Just thought I would post an update. I swapped a 4l80E into the car and pulled the cage out of it. I had to get an appraisal for insurance and as soon as they saw the cage they dropped me. Could only find one insurance company that would cover it for 1850/yr and I had to safety the car every year and sign a form that I would never race the car. Will have some updated pics soon.

So I've been driving the car some with the 4 speed in it. It's like a whole new car. At 70mph I'm reving 2000 rpm and according to my Holley I'm using 13-14lbs of fuel an hour that's mid 30's mpg. I haven't had a chance to verify yet but I will this week. Car actually feels faster now too but I may never find out without the cage.

Gore Mutual but my broker could only find one company in Canada to insure it with the cage. It was almost 2k/yr and I had to safety the car every year and sign a paper saying I would never race it.

I bought this car from Carl a few weeks ago I'm going to try to update this thread as I make some improvements and changes. For now my main areas to address are dialing in the tune for better driveability doing some rewiring and setting the suspension up. Over the winter I plan to cage it and put a cam in it. I may try to get to the track once before the winter just to see if I can get a good pass out of it before getting kicked out. So far I'm happy with the purchase as this thing is an animal at WOT and definitely has a 9 sec pass as it sits with some fine tuning.
