You know I have been following your build for a while Wicked so I feel your pain. People have gotten mixed results with Ebay units. Why not sell the working precision turbo, and bolt on the Hong Kong Phooeys (one of my favorite cartoons from the '80s) and see what happens. I doubt you want to spend $4k for turbos...just yet.

if you do get it repaired under warranty, switch the turbos to the opposite side when you install it. This will give a better idea.

^^^ I would do this also provided its rebuilt for free and you get to use it again.

If not, go with a Comp unit. I dont know how you guys are paying so much for your oiless units. I got quoted cheaper.

I had already swapped them this time. That is why I am saying that the other turbo is fine and nothing has happened to it and it has never been rebuilt.

I'm not sure what has been done yet but I would send them both and fully inform them of the situation also a y fitting would be better and make sure both feed lines are equal length after the y

I will go to a Y fitting. I agree. I don't know about sending the other one in. I worry they will try to tell me something is wrong with it so they don't have to cover the first one.

Here is a decent picture of my set up. It wasn't complete yet. I had shortened some of the lines some more to try and make everything as even as possible on the set up. I don't think anything looks strange and there may be about an inch difference in hose length from turbo to turbo. keep in mind though when I swapped sides the same thing still happened to the same turbo. That has to make me think it is not anyway I have it set up.

I have a Comp. Oil-Less 76 and LOVE IT! (Rear Mount...)
1000 miles on the set up and SO FAR rock solid!

My friends 550+rwhp Precision 6262 powered S2000 had a BRAND new Journal Bearing 6262 and within 2000 miles it got a **** load of shaft play and the wheel started hitting the housing... He bought a BRAND NEW center section from precision threw it in there and after 500 miles or less the wheel started hitting the housing AGAIN!

Hes pissed.

This is what is happening to mine. I am sending it in tomorrow. I spoke with Dennis and he said he will take a look. No set getting upset until I give them a chance to make it right. I think they should either give me a completely different turbo OR fix this one correctly AND give me my $500 back since it was under warranty. We'll see. Trying to be polite and patient as possible but this is extremely irritating.

I had my GT47-88 from them fail twice, broke the shaft.... low boost, not really pushing it. Next time I build something really quick I won't be using them.

You should email dennis this thread. If this is how they handle problems I won't be buying one that's for dang sure. Screw that, for 1k you can buy a nice turbo.

Dennis is who I am dealing with. We still have to see how they handle it. I filled the form out with a note on the back that said....I feel I should receive a new/different turbo or this one fixed and my $500 returned. I have only had the turbo less than 6 months and 3 rebuilds something is not right.

Today, after I took the turbos off I put each line in a bucket and started the car for one minute. The buckets are dirty but as you can see there is quite a bit of oil coming out in 1 minute.

It was 20 ounces almost in each tub. I am using -4 feed lines and a feed block just above the oil filter. It has been plenty for one turbo.

This is the block I am using. The fitting went to my mechanical oil guage and the other fitting goes to a "T"

I spoke with Anthony. If Precision doesn't fix this problem I'll probably go with the GT45

GO with 2 borg warner S475's with a T6 housing. You can get both of those turbos for the price of just 1 of the oil less ones. Yeah its a lil larger housing but it works very well.
