Unless I missed them, there were no pics at the turbos with the hotside on so the wastegates weren't installed yet in these pics.

Unleashing another great rearmount setup. You guys are getting it done and done properly.

What size turbos on this setup?

Not finished yet. If all goes well, it will be next week though.

Thank you! I may be a little biased, but I think we have one of the best fabricators anywhere (Dana Walters).

The turbos are Comp oil-less 62/65's. They will easily support over 1000rwhp, but for now the customer is only looking for about 650-700rwhp. Until we build him a forged motor over the winter.

Absolutely love the way the piping was ran.
Oh....definitely not slow to spool! In fact, I'm about to put a larger exhaust housing on my C5 so I can slow down the spool up. Even with an M6 it hits the tires so hard that it's almost too dangerous on the street.

Looks great, nice work.
LMAO. And thank you!!

Not until we finish. But a little FYI, this thing should sound INSANE. We put a custom cam in it over the winter and tuned it to 478rwhp. Can't wait to hear the "whiney lope".

Stock manifolds have 2.5" outlets. We ran 2.5" piping off the collectors, into a single 3", then at the rear axle it will split into two 3" pipes leading to the turbo's (3" pipe conforms to the T4 flange much better than 2.5"). With the LS3, exhaust velocity isn't really much of an issue. This thing should spool plenty fast. If not, we'll just squish all the piping.

"EASY"??? I wish!! lol When you focus on a nice balance of fit and function, it's much more difficult than it might look. IMHO.

Thanks Billy! Again, Dana is the man! I've been covered up on the dyno for several weeks now. So I owe all the credit to him on being able to bring my vision to reality.

Wow, what a GREAT compliment! Thank you so much!! And nope, wastegates aren't on yet. It's getting twin PTE 46mm v-banded gates. They'll be on next week too.

Thank you....we like to think so!
(in case you missed it earlier, Comp 62/65's)

FWIW, we GREATLY appreciate all of your feedback. Sorry I'm so slow at replying. Just super busy here lately. But I'm not complaining!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good idea... but it doesnt quite work that way.. they should be more concerned about keeping the heat in the pipes (coating / wrapping).

@ Poster... looks great! Looking forward to seeing this completed! Rear-mounts rule!

Talking

The SS is just about ready for the dyno! All piping is now finished. Just need to mount the wastegates and BOV, weld everything up, and then it's off to be ceramic coated. Should have final pics, vids and dyno numbers within about a week. Until then, here's a few more teasers....

What kind of filters will you be using? any worries about them getting soaked with water being behind the rear tires in the rain?
Sick build though!

Two 4" inlet K&N's. The filters are too high up to have to worry about water. Unless he uses the car as a submarine....

How are you getting the water lines to the turbos? On your single build you are using a draw through MAF. Are you doing this here as well? I can't decide between a single or twins for my C6. I only want 550-600rwhp for now since my LS3 is bone stock. I've got an LS2 block to send to ERL when I want to go all out.

I believe he mentioned a .96 housing on the Vette, but wanting to go bigger since it hits the tires so hard. I called Comp and they have a 1.15 divided housing also.

Exclamation

Quick Update:

Got the car on the dyno today to make a few base pulls just to test everything out. We haven't ceramic coated or wrapped the piping or the turbo exhaust housings yet. Also, I only had time to make 3 pulls (and 3 tunes), so I left timing super low, A/F rich, and the methanol coming on earlier than it should be.

Running on 11.5lb wastegate springs only, 1st pull resulted in 636rwhp with A/F at 10.0. Leaned it out a bit to 10.5 A/F, and 2nd pull made an evil 666rwhp. Leaned it out a bit more to 11.3 A/F, gave it a 10 minute cool down and fired up the video camera....734rwhp / 651rwtq !!!

Piping is going out to coating tomorrow and I'm heading out of town in about 30 minutes for the Indy 500. When I get back, I'll post up the video. Then next week we'll get to see how it does with some extra heat in the exhaust.

Oh yea....it sounds wicked.

(FYI, this is a 2010 Camaro SS M6. And prior to the turbo kit, we put a custom NA cam in it with LT's and off-road cat-back. Which made 475rwhp tuned. Same cam is in it now, but with stock manifolds, Unleashed Twin Rear Mount, Aeromotive Stealth fuel pump, 1:1 regulator, 80lb injectors, 93 octane pump gas, and a Snow methanol kit with a single 600hp nozzle.)

Lastly, thanks everyone for all the great compliments. It really does mean a lot to all of us.

Are you planning to produce any of these kits to sell outright?
