i bought a car from a guy thats was mostly finished having sum issues this is the specs
motor
383 lt1 forged interanls 10.4:1 compression
ported heads 1.6 rockers
lt4 hot cam
gvo 40lbs injectors
paceseter headers
car made 637hp at 7psi
the night i bought it it was running 13psi an popped a head gasket (still rocking stock head bolts new) havent had very good luck running at track had problems hooking. best 13.86 117mph peadling the whole way but getting car to hook now but i dont think boost is where it needs to be
i dont see positive boost untill 4k and above is this normal???
i realize i need to wrap my exhast but he put a glass pack after the exhaust is this hurting the spool?
how much boost should i push untill i get head studs or how much on my compression setup? only bn pushing 6psi
what else should i do toget maxium hp out of this setup?
would water/meth b helpful

to start off your going to need to give some more info
1. did you fix the headgasket?
2. what type of trans?
3. type and size of tires
4. Do you footbrake it or transbrake?
5. stall speed?
right off the bat i can tell you that any muffler is going to "hurt" spool, but with a 68mm and a 383 i dont think you will even notice! The "hurt" spool part is not crazy, and sometimes you wont even be able to tell, unless you are going from a cutout to a restrictive muffler then ya your going to notice it. Water/meth would deff be helpful, especialy with 10.4:1 . The "maximum hp" part is kinda hard to help with. It all depends what you want and are willing to do to the car.
Once you give some more info the other members will deff chime in and help more out, but until then its hard to tell whats going on or help you.

Yes the headgasket was fixed by previous owner but he installed stock head bolts (new ones) its a built auto 3200 stall 343 gears. On the street I run nitro 555r 17s at the track M/T St streets foot brake only. I finally got it to half way hook on street Fri night ill tale it back to strip

With a cr over 10, and 40# injs, I'd be worrying about repeat h/g failures.
I'm making an assumption the the 637HP you refer to, is at the wheels. If I'm correct, you are long out of injector.
637RW is well over 700FW. [likely, closer to 750]. Running the numbers, you should be looking at 55 # injs, at the minimum.[60's would do well].
If the HP is FW, then you still need so be at/near a 55# inj.
These #'s are using:
BSFC of .5. [That could be a bit low]
Duty cycle at 85%.
Do you have a data logger that will log duty cycle, AFR from a wide band, and maybe fuel psi?
An Alky inj system will help, especially w/ that compression ratio....

something is CRAZYYYY wrong. Even if your spinning half way down the track, i still cant see a 101 trap speed in a 600+hp car! I forgot to even ask, what is this setup in?? Crap my 300whp wrx trapped 113! Compression check, boost leak, bring it to a dyno, do something because thats not adding up, Hell i would even check compression. Boost leak testing would help majorly, maybe you have a big leak somewhere.
