Just put a two step on a wot switch under the brake pedal.

Stay on the 2 step the entire time while staging it will build plenty.

I know a guy with a twin turbo caprice who does this and works great.

Still if your timing and fueling aren't where they should it won't matter as it will just hit a wall and no more boost will be made.

I believe the Ebay GT45 is the same specs as the old Master Power GT45, 69mm compressor, 77mm turbine, 1.05ar. Decent turbo actually.

big thing im worried about with your car is pushing through the brakes if you get it into boost. obv mine is diff but i hooked the 2 step up to my brake and made 10lbs at 3500.....i can actually footbrake it to that point too i believe but havent tried that yet haha. did you talk to frank about it at all yet? you would love a brake in it too i think.

if i were in this position i would get the torque converter restalled to 4k and raise the shift rpm to 7k. cure all your ills in one sweep.

converter is always an option for me, but in my experience 4k stalls push too the moon under power.

and they are too loose on the street

i doubt the stock drum rears and stock peanut calipers up front will hold this car while making some boost anyway lol

i upped my shot to 125, waiting for this monsoon the east coast has been getting to stop and make some passes

i think thats because you are rev limiting it to 6500 rpm. imHo. you rev higher and the converter will tighten up.

dont forget, the equivalent piston speed of a 4.8 vs 5.3/6.0 at 6500 is 7200 rpms.

ive never had a loose converter on the street so i dont know anything about that side, sorry.

My PTC stalls 4200 under boost now and only 3000 when no boost is on... it drives as tight if not tighter than my 3200 in my 99 daily driver and thats with Th400 and 2.73's compared to 4L60 E and 3.73s. Oh and i shift that PTC at 6K rpm...but now my new setup will go to near 7K if I have to but I'd like it to be done by 6500-6800 so i dont stress things too much.

A converter that stalls at xxxx rpm on boost will not act like your typical xxxx stall on the street that you would have in your n/a car. Off boost you have over half the power missing and thus the converter will not stall. Torque makes it slip/stall.

when this turbo is lit it hangs at 5500-6000

in a third gear roll on the highway i can push the stall pretty high.

i could try another converter i guess but i am really liking how it drives.

its one way or the other i guess its see what i can do with the nitrous or swap out the converter.

or go into a 4l80e and a lockup converter and get that **** loose as hell for launching. but thats an investment

I would definitely loosen the converter up....your leaving a lot on the table...call a couple converter places, tell them your setup, and they should be able to give you what you want....
