From what I have been reading a lot of turbo guys use the foot brake to build boost.

Have you considered a brake upgrade? With big enough rear brakes you should be able to hold the car at 4k rpm with some boost.

You said you wanted nicer brakes in your newest video.

P.S. I want street tire drives ASAP! Also what brand is that Speedo? Might look into it for my trike.

If you do go to a 4L80E, I've got a trick that won't need a rear brake upgrade (assuming Jake's older transbrake + 2 step).

Back in the day we used to have trouble spooling the bigger turbos on our Grand Nationals with the stock converter so we would not only use the foot brake but also the E brake.
If you could get your timing down and do it all in one motion it would work like crazy. I have vids of my T type leaving with 16#.

He probably hasn't seen this thread since he made that post. He was always very helpful when I had my 4L80e.

He can explain how it works better than I can, but I can tell you how to make it work if you'd like. It is very easy.
