Default water to air intercooler????

alright just want to see if anyone has tested or noticed a difference in the way there car iats are. With a cheap frozen boost intercooler compared to a bigger company like spearco or any other company out there. Is there a big difference in the way they work ie cool better or is it just a weight difference. I personally run a frozen boost just want to see if theres any actual gains to be made from getting a better unit.

That would depend on power level. 500 hp going thru frozen boost and Spearco will probably be the same but shove alot of air to make 1200 hp and you will more than likely see a good performance difference.

I see alot of the big hp guys use Chiseled Performance for their a2w intercoolers. So there might be a reason they use that high dollar stuff

Alright thanks, just wanted to make sure there wasn't much to gain from a high dollar intercooler at my level. Would it make a bigger difference if I'm running 10 psi and decide to up the boost to 15.

I loved my frozen boost stuff. It isn't cheapo at all in my opinion, just cheaper in price. Worked pretty good at 16psi for me.

Youre giving up weight savings and strength in the Frozen boost stuff. Having held both, they are both made well, the frozen boost is just noticeably heavier and doesnt have the reinforcement that the Chisled has. then again, that's easy enough to do yourself. I also doubt the core's are the same. Not so much worried about the effeciency, but the strength of it to withstand a failure. It's an easy way to dump a healthy dose of water into your motor if it fails.

that being said, I don't see any problem with running them!
