Default '98 Camaro S475 build just started.

'98 Camaro build thread
I decide to go turbo not long ago. It's coming along slowly and will continue to. I'm limited on time and plus I'm piecing it together. I figured I'd make this thread for some motivation so I don't up an sell it all lol. I have the engine at the machine shop and can't really do a whole lot without it. In the mean time I've been cleaning up the engine bay, painting and fabbed up the radiator support today.

6.0 .030" over 370"
Stock bottom with ARP rod and head bolts
LS9 head gaskets
Comp turbo cam or see if Phil can spec me one
Victor Jr. and Edelbrock 90* elbow and rails
317's with Lunati dual golds
60-80lb?? injectors (not purchased)
(2) Walbro pumps in-tank
CX Racing 31"x12" Intercooler and 3" piping
Truck manifolds and 2.5" crossover (building next)
5" down pipe out of the bumper in front of the passenger tire
eBay flanges
S475 Borg Warner 1.32AR T6 turbo
60mm waste gate (haven't purchased yet)
99up PCM swap
Griffin radiator and and jegs tank
Powerglide with brake (Malibu spare)
TCI 8" converter (may have a custom one built)
It has the 10bolt with 4:10 gears as of now. I'm trying to work out a deal on a 12 bolt soon

I have no idea what it will put down. I'm hoping for at least 500RWHP
I'll update as I go, don't get a whole lot of time to work on it with the family and job.

Josh

Go with studs over bolts.
V-bands on manifolds.
80lb injectors
Precision or JGS for the gate. I went with twin 40mm race gates from JGS on my S480.

I have a brand new set of Edlebrock rails that I will sell you if you are interested. Pm me

(2) Walbro pumps in-tank
CX Racing 31"x12" Intercooler and 3" piping
Truck manifolds and 2.5" crossover (building next) I would do 2.25", especially with the T6 1.32.
5" down pipe out of the bumper in front of the passenger tire
eBay flanges
S475 Borg Warner 1.32AR T6 turbo
60mm waste gate (haven't purchased yet)JGS, TiAL, Turbosmart, they're all good.
99up PCM swap
Griffin radiator and and jegs tank
Powerglide with brake (Malibu spare)
TCI 8" converter (may have a custom one built)Defiantly get a custom one.

I'd give PTC a call for the converter. Injectors should be atleast 80lbers. I'd also suggest a good boost referenced regulator with atleast the -8 feed and -6 return. I'd go with a -10 and -8 return.

PTC was who I was going to call. OEM fuel lines wouldn't cut it?

No OEM lines have no return.

Unless you're doing E85 I would use the stock lines. They should be good for 500whp..

It's not really a return like your thinking. You can use the evap line as the return though.

You can get away with it, but if you start having fuel pressure problems, then it's most likely them not being sufficient.

On mine I went with 80lb injectors, A1000 pump and a MSD Fuel pump voltage booster, -8an feed and factory line as return. I'm running e85 tho. Keep in mind most of these injectors are rated at 42psi and you will most likely be running 58 with a 1:1 boost referenace regulator. A 80lb injector at 42psi is equal to about 94lbs at 58psi.

This link may help.

If that car doesn't make over 500whp then you need to find a new hobby!

Goodluck and I'll be waiting for pics!

your hoping to make 500whp? a 370 with a s475. i think you'll meet that goal around 12lbs of boost give or take a little lol. you should make 500whp on accident with that set up!
