I don't run an extra filter. Just a line straight to it

The turbo doesn't like dirt any better than the bearings in your motor.

I don't know anyone with a ball bearing turbo running an in-line oil filter. I've never had a problem with mine and it's got about 15k miles on it.

Will that not totally true engines dont dont run Ball bearing. They use a soft lead/copper/steel bearing which which rides on a layer oil and can pass small amounts of dirt though it with out issues.

Ball bearing as in the turbo Ride on the steel ***** and races with small amounts of oil for cooling. almost no room for dirt to pass by.

But what the real world diff in scoring and damaging the ball bearing in microns ?

30 micron is a little over a .001 of an inch... Hopefully it doesn't starve the ***** of oil?

I asked Jose at FI about running an inline filter...it's kinda a crap shoot. He said most small stuff will pass through without causing damage but if you do end up with stuff in your line and it eventually plugs up your filter...you are screwed

Well you still have to clean it with the oil filter too. I know you cant install a inline turbo filter and never check it.
