Default 1981 Turbo T/A vs New 5.0

Took the car to Jackson raceway(House of Hook) To say the least Ive had problems with the car! So to make a long story short. The car killed a new 5.0 mustang, and a full out race car aprox 69-70 Nova. Car was leaving slow, and was acting like it had a larger stall. Come to find out the exhaust shop ran emergency brake cable under the exhaust which had the brakes on all of 2weeks, I changed the trans, and had to install new gears cause the car was straining that hard, I feel so dam stupid!! Anyway I beat both cars with the dam brakes on, and the rear roaring like a train horn!! Should run like hell now that if fixed that, but my brake are now spongy!!

Never will, can anyone give me a idea why my brakes stay soft, and will go to the floor if you press hard enough!

if you've been driving around with your brakes draggin, you probably toasted the wheel cylinders. Try flushing the fluid, it might help

Very well could have cooked the fluid. Good advice given already to change fluid.
