Default Cam Choice, Twins ... Poll

I dont know how to post a poll so pick a number, and add a reply if you would.
This is a collection of cam designs...each one from this boards most respected shops ...or people of which I can not name unless I pick theirs. I'm plain lost and that cam thread has me seeing double again.
Motor is a APE 409, Heads are Stage 3 Absolute 6.0 w/ Incolonel valves, Twin 76 Turbines (TO4E) w/ 56 Compressors (T3). A/R = .63.... LOG manifolds staged 2.5" to 3" down pipes. Auto. Turbo Power range 3000(boost threshold)-6800 rpm. i dont have exact flow #'s to post..or port volumes. Also unsure of intended ramp speeds and not all shops included ICL.
Options:
#1. 228-220- 570-.580 114

#2 230-226- -.576-.576 115

#3 226-232 .578 .588 114

#4 232-228 .585"\.575" 114 l\s 110 icl.

#5 226-222 574/573 115 lca 112 IC

Thanks!

Only cam I'd consider would be #3. Although you might want to bump that 114 lsa up to 115 or 116. Probably higher on the lift also.

I agree with Time2Kill.115+ duration and a lift of .595 or so.

id say #2 230-226- -.576-.576 115
maybe witha little higher lift like in the .580's
a turbo engine doesnt need a whole lot of duration, but since yours is a little bigger it coudl take it.
coarse it depends on how streetable you want it.

#1 and #6 seems liek thed be to smalll for you, maybe better for a 346 cubed motor.

#3 and #4 seem a hair to big

for the lsa i have a 114, and am thinking if i ever change cams id go witha 115 or 116 for better low end boost response and idle cariteristics.

I say # 2 with a bit more around the 580 as well. stick with the 115.

most turbo cams have more duration on the intake side versus the exhaust side...i don't know why #3 is different? I think you want turbo cams to be straight up also- no advance or retard like #4, #5...just questions to ask the shops i suppose.

My reading has led me to believe that if you are using a smaller turbo, go with reverse split....big turbo go with standard or even split. Of course this could be wrong but this is what I have gathered in my reading. It appears it all revolves around backpressure. Now that you have more to confuse you, pick one and let us know what the results are on YOUR combo as there are so many

Thanks..there are so many variables.. I read the cam threead 3 times, played with formulas, talked to shop after shop... got input from folks the Futural, Ed Curtis and so on... Most like the reverse split, but not all. These are two decent sixed turbos so im not completely sold on the reverse split. In fact the one traditional split came from someone I also well respect. As far as "straight up", I wish I could come to a conclusion on that as well... but most dont go that route either. Perhaps J-Rod or Pony 93 will chime in with their thoughts as well...Anyones input is appreciated for that matter... looks the the decision gets put off yet one more day...
I am leaning towards #2.
Funny thing Noyzee, thats almost exactly the cam you and I discussed and came up with before I received that spec from a designer.

Where do you plan to shift it?

Is it going to be raced a lot?

What power level are you shooting for?

Smokin...you are correct sir

PSJ, power level... unknown, lets just say above 700... The car should be very streetable, however I consider Lenko's streetable. It will probably see the track 4-5 days a year, mostly street. It is a weekend driver. I imagine shift points will be around 6700... turbos are a lil small on the exhaust side and stop making power soon after.

And its the grind Im going with it seems... if I can just get the thing into production in short order. I'd like to thank those awesome folks, such as Allen, Ed, APE and others for their private input. No thanks to the sponser who refused to get back to me, even after 10-15k in business this spring...you know who you are.

Noyz, thanks goes to you without saying. I would hope you think by now "we" are thanking "them", especially the one who agrees with us.
Thanks for the input Scott, hope to see you the 30th as well...I'll be the one with no car, obviously agitated, but with a video camera.... if you look close you will see a flask buldging from my coat.
