ChevyThunder17, not being an *** in my last post. No need to pull your signature attitude with the hey man line. I said I understand your concern, and everyone elses, I just dont see why so many ppl want to kick a dead horse. The point has been made about concerns with the pipe being low, the turbo in the rear, I just figure its time to move on since no one with the kit has posted up on how htey smacked the **** up ya know. Thats all.

Try looking at the other STS post, or earlier in this one, theres some pictures on here. I dont know how to link sorry.

Charlie.

Fair enough, I see your point. I don't have a "signature" attitude, it always differs I am just backing off, don't want to get the thread locked.

I don't think it'd fit if you have double diamond subframes. These are some of the first pictures I've seen of this setup. Thank you for the link.

meant the part of your sig, your attitude might kill. Only j/k as you are too. Theres more, scroll down on the FI section for another STS thread from YOU03... and on page 3 there is some. Anyway, you have to remove the drvrs side SFC, that was also discussed earlier. Looks of questions and stuff have been asked and addressed.

I agree completely. I really hope this thing lives up to expectations. I am just going to call BS when people say they are going to see 500 rwhp with an upgraded fuel system and tuning a stock car.

I don't think they are that cheap, either, starting at $4000. STS + Methanol injection = P1SC kit.

Take care, hope it comes out worthy of comparing like same tires from last runs and these tonight.

ChevyThunder, what setup are going for? I am personally getting ready to deploy and will be sending my car to a shop that will end up pulling engine, forging internals, and then custom fabbing up a TT setup. A year later, I come back and the car will be 90% complete, just some exterior and interior mods will remain. Thought about this STS kit, for simplistic setup and that extra little oohmp. But, the need for POWER I know will be too great for this kit and my goals.

White Hawk-minus belt replacement for the meth fills. I would still say if they produce the same, the STS would be my choice, lower IATs and I am sure you will need the same add ons for either, injectors, tune, etc... So it comes down to easier install, and maintenance. That and of course preference. No lets see if it produces the power.

I have a 60-1 Turbo Tech kit, fuel stuff, LS1 Edit. Already have my 12-bolt, and intend on driving the auto til it dies. I will be happy with 500 to the tires, which is capable with some tuning. Not looking to break any records. Going to be building up an iron block in a low budget fashion, already got some cylinder heads and whatnot, just waiting for the cash for some other stuff.

The STS kit is simple. But I like the traditional turbo under the hood. I've been doing my Turbo Tech install one part at a time. Did the alternator relocation two weeks ago, doing fuel pump and injectors this week. I have to get one more pipe to have everything I need. I intend on doing it in one long day.

Cool. I asked around alot for info on the TTi kit, found some ppl were making a little over 550. Do you have a 3" downpipe?

Sorry OT.

I also have the STS kit and I have never had anything touch the turbo. The only thing I had scrape was the pipe that runs below the lca and that was only on a big speed bump.

Are those numbers in your signature with tuning?

That is w/o tuning.
Also, someone mentioned gas mileage; I got 29.7 on the highway after the turbo. That was 2mpg better that I had ever done before.

trtturbo, did you mistype, the piping under the LCA, are you saying you still have your drvr side lca, or you modified it? Or just mistyped?
Did you ever dyno before?

I am purchasing the STS kit for my 4x4 truck

For me it's a no brainer, I got plenty of room under the truck to avoid scraping and lots of airflow to keep things cool.

I am currently making around 320rwhp but may drop down to 305-310 when I swap cams to one more turbo oriented.

I'm not gonn acrew around with 2-3psi either. I am popping the 8.1 Marine injectors in (42lbs), the Meth kit, boost controller, GT35 turbo upgrade, and whatever tuning is needed since I already have edit and a good tuner. I am hoping to pull off 10-11lbs of boost but may need a fuel pump. Either way I am pulling for 450+ at the wheels on this 5.3L. It should work really well with my 3k stall since I can launch near full boost in 4wh Hi I have not been to the track since the new cam and tunning but have shaved off 3 10ths and added 3mph on my G-Timer (compared to my old G-Time results) so with this kit I am pulling for mid 12s.

It'll go in before the end of the month and I'll create a new post and let you guys know how it works with dyno AND track #s. To hell with this I "think" it does this garbage
