Default lt1 turbo questions

ok here is what i got 97 lt1 trans am
383 all forged internals
ported stock heads
ported throttle body and intake
Svo green top injectors 42# (i think too small)
pacesetter lt headers
rear mount 68mm turbo 5psi boost
lt4 hot cam
the motor was built by the guy i bought the car from with lots of pics and paper work to prove the car has 10.4:1 comp now right after i got it it poped a head gasket at 13psi on stock head bolts. after LOTS of tuning and playing on street tires i have got it in the 12s i am just affraid to take boost up ne more or spray it at that kind of compression..? sound right? should i build a diffrent block with lower compression? if so is there a place i could get a good forged lt1 short block no shops around here mess with lt1 and after the few problems iv had with the car i wish i didnt have it sometimes lol or should i just get bigger injectors for this motor i am new to the lt1 game any info will help

You will need to lower your compression and upgrade your fuel system. What type of fuel pump are you running? That's just a start.

I would lower the compression. What fuel do you run? That's not enough pump to support 13 psi of boost.

What fuel do you run? I understand you don't want to cross the line from
A street car to an all out race car, if you want to have fun on the street you need to lower the boost.

You need to also check your timing.

either lower your compression with new pistons or have fun with your setup for this year and do it all next year. I have seen some people including myself run that setup. I had ran 5 gallons of 110 and 5-7 gallons of 93 and upped the boost to 7-8psi. I ran it like that for the entire summer. So it can be done BUT I knew if it blew it up I would be ready.
