quick heads question
quick heads question im building a forged ls1 that will have a F1 procharger on it, i have a buddy who is offering a set of stock 241 heads for cheap. would it be worth it to get these and is there anything i can do to them to get great flow out of them and see good gains on the motor or for my setup would it be better to just get a set of aftermarket heads.

if your goal is really only 600 then use them. but with an F1/forged motor you have a lot of room to grow so id really go for an aftermarket head with a thick deck. That way you can push things a lil more when you decide to, because you will..
(clears throat) HAAAAAAIL NO! at least a set of 317's. 241's with an f1 blower is going to flow like pure ****. now with the heads im suggesting (assuming your on a budget, but still want max gains) itll even lower the compression a bit, which will benefit your longevity and detonation avoidance. I'd pass on the 241's for sure. You can pick up a set of 317's for cheap cheap. There are people on here making big power with them, and they will out flow those 241's by a good bit.
