Gawd damn man, that is some sick fab work. I'm subbed to see the finished product, absolutely beautiful work on that. Really makes me regret not buying a '69 442 my cousin had years ago, I love the styling of those cars

WOW! amazing build.

What made you go with the in board springs and dampers? This is something offten used on curcit racing cars to reduce unsprund weight. Whats the advantage on this setup? its F*CKING COOL though!

Glad you are likeing the Nelosn engine. I cant stop watching their videos on youtube!

Chris.

We came up with the cantilever setup mainly just to do something different.

The internal shocks have no real performance advantage in this application. I've always hated rolling around on the ground at the track trying to access the adjusters on shocks. All the adjustments on these can be made by popping the trunk and never having to get under the car. These are Afco Big Guns with about a billion settings for rebound and compression as well as the ability to adjust the nitrogen pressure in the remote canisters.

It has AC! That is probably the thing that would throw me off the most about this build

It's a very neat idea and really makes the car a street and track warrior like you intended! Who did the chassis work for you?

Also have you got any dimensions of the chargecooler? Nelson always seems to use MASSIVE cores!

Its an awesome build, especially considering I'm a full blown Buick GS guy having owned a few in my time and a GN also, I have to do some research on this car to see the latest results.

If you notice, the builders that make the most reliable power always go very large on the IC's. Cool is your friend.

Terrible build! Don't like it at all!

Because it makes my car look like a shined up turd! Very sad.........

LOL...incredible work for sure. Love all the great fab work and the fact that it'll have heat and A/C built into it. What a fun car to have for anyone!

Perfect street manners to boot? Nicely done by all involved.

My goodness now that i'm signed up here i have to post and subscribe this is just an amazing amount of work and those little details like the recessed coil packs in the firewall and the rear suspension are def make this one of a kind in my book kudos!

Are you doing all the fab yourself???

Now i'm embarrased to even post my build thread up lol!

I had forgotten about this thread - it's been a while. Car is STILL under construction and currently at the painter so it's getting closer. We ended up media blasting the entire car and what originally appeared to be good body work by the previous owner(s) turned out to be no so good and is taking a ton of time to fix. Here are a few update pics along with a rendering of the final product. Thanks for looking.
