Good thing about the 1/4 mile track is that they will let you run it out to the 1/8th if they tell you to slow down. I can get some good testing in there.

Contemplating putting 3.25's back in it too. We will see what happens.
Hey you got the car into the 9's with those stock parts so you've gotta consider them "right" enough haha

Thats pretty cool about your track though

Not sure yet. Hoping to go with someone else in a couple weeks, but not my car. Probably will go back on Oct 4th. I'm pretty sure that is the day the MN guys rent the track... not positive on that though since I haven't seen any fliers. I don't need to go back any sooner than that. They'll probably remember me still. lol

Fair enough. I want to get atleast one good 1/4 pass in on 17-18 lbs. and see what it does. If it is still together for our Iowa Auto Forum Shootout, I plan on turning it up a bit more and going for broke on a pass.

Nope. I have a 4 year old son that likes to cruise around in the car. Not ready to take that away from him just yet. With that being said, I will probably put a cage in it this winter. That is, if I still have the car...

Don't let it drive off a cliff just yet! You'll figure it out and it'll run the number it's capable of.

I'm with you on that, I convince myself a rollbar's happening, then I consider the backseat being unusable and it makes me lose interest pretty quickly. My cars all apart, so doing it now would be so much easier.

Well, I did the unthinkable and sold the car this weekend. I listed it for sale last week and it was gone by Saturday. It was the right thing to do at this time. Moving into our new home on Friday, have a 2 month old baby girl and a 4 year old son we are shelling out a ton for daycare.

I enjoyed the car a lot and am happy with how it turned out. I am going to sit back and enjoy the new home and baby for a few months and then start looking for another project. I am thinking I might want to do a SN95 Mustang with a turbo LS. I have owned four 4th Gens and am ready to try something different. We will see though.

Hopefully the new owner keeps me updated with the car . I am excited to see what it could really do on the new setup.

Thanks. Who would have thought building a home had so many costs you completely forget about . Oh well though, I know I did the right thing and there will always be time for another car.

Figured I would breathe a little life back into this thread for the time being. I have gone through two cars since I sold the Camaro. First one was a 95 Mustang GT that I owned for a few months. I drove it back and forth to work, and while slow, it was fun to drive. I planned on LS swapping it but talked myself out of it and sold the car. Shortly after that I found a one owner 93 LX 4 cylinder car with 90k miles on it for $2300. The car was pretty much mint and ran/drove great. I literally drove it back from buying it last fall, put in the garage, and never touched it again until about a week ago. Once again, I planned on LS swapping this car and even bought an 8.8, K-member, and SN95 brakes for it. Anyway, I didn't want to be another LS swapped Mustang (have a few friends with them) so I did the only logical thing. I traded it straight across for this roller...

It's a 34k mile car that was previously a turbo car built by Speed Inc. back in 2006. The guy I got it from moved from West Virginia to Iowa a few months ago and was looking for a Fox project. He had hurt the motor in it, pulled all the drivetrain, and pretty much left everything else. It has QA1's all around, BMR K-member, subframes, LCA's, TA, 12 bolt with 3.42's, boost controller, etc. It's a very nice car and gets me back into another red Fbody, which I just can't seem to get away from. This is a hardtop car with leather and power options unlike my other one.

Here it is in its new home waiting for me to start on it.

The plan is to do a very similar build to what I had in the other one. I already have an 05 LQ4 and TH400 I am going to have built. Probably going to pick up an S480 and start working on the hotside soon. I have a goal for the car to be running in less than a year and that should be very attainable. If I get real motivated then it might be running before this year is up. I will probably start another build thread when I get going on this one but wanted to showoff the new ride now.

Nice I bet you're excited to get back into a turbo car again. I pulled the old red rocket out the other day and ran it for the first time since I put it away.

Right on! Did you make any changes other than getting the transmission freshened up?
