twins with short down pipes. WB02 setups?

The way I want to run my twin setup is with the down pipes coming out of the fender like how I have my single set up right now. This will leave me with 12-18" of downpipe at most from each turbo. My question is, is that enough pipe to put wideband o2s on and get accurate readings? I'm looking at the Fast dual sensor setup right now, since it seems to be about on par cost wise as 2 individual innovatives. Any thoughts on this?

ive run turbo setups with the WB very close to the turbo and dumped and not had any problems.
you could always put it on the pressurized side even though its bad for them theyll last long enough i would say.

I would put them right at the outlet of the turbo. If you put them near the end of the pipe like Skinny69 suggested you will certainly get erroneous (lean) readings.

Ok... I was exaggerating just a little. Have you guys not witnessed tuning shops clip a WB onto the tailpipe and tune like that?
I'm just saying that a 12" downpipe provides plenty of room to mount a WB.

Yeah, I've seen that. I have a wideband permanently mounted in my my car after the long tubes. When we dynoed it we compared with the shops clip on tailpipe reading. Under heavy load they both matched up. Light load mine was showing stoich and theirs was reading 17:1.

If you look up my down pipe you can see the wideband sensor actually its maybe a foot and a half from the exit and wot/cruising it shows accurate readings. Part throttle I get steady readings no crazy lean readings coming up ever.
