Camshaft Recommendations
Hey everybody, I have a stock lq4 6.0l 317 heads with a gm hotcam and im installing a turbonetics hurricane tc76 with 8-10psi of boost. I am wanting streetable low to mid horsepower for my build and have been looking at going with an ls6 cam. I also just saw this from hawks thirdgen and thought it might be a good fit:

In my opinion, run the smallest cam that will still allow you to get max HP out of the turbo.
We've run the TU1 with a single 7675 at over 900rwhp. TU2 we've used plenty of times at 1,150+rwhp with twins.
For the OP, an LS6 or TU0 cam is more suitable for that combination. More cam will only soften up the bottom end and mid-range.

You have a bigger compressor and a much bigger turbine side and that will make your turbo 10x more efficient than his on a 6.0 with the size of your hot side.
His turbo is much much smaller than yours and needs a lot less exhaust duration and you also wanted something that sounded vicious and ran great at the track
That's why I would use my spec in my first post. 224/228 .578/.585 114+2 or really a simple 224/224 .578"/.578" 114+4 would work just as well and be more mild on the exhaust side of things.

What's with all the HUGE cams lol over the last couple years I've tested from 209, 212, 215, 221, 228@ .050 112 to 115 lsa on a 6.0L with 317 heads a couple were with the heads ported, and the rest were stock. Tc76/68/.96, and T78/68/1.15(no change between the two) all cams pulled similar past 4K, but the 212/112 lsa cam ran the quickest ET and MPH, and ran the best vs psi of boost. Went 10.31@130mph @ a true 4875lbs, nasty aug DA. Same combo with Garrett GT76/94 ran times in sig. The weight could have something to do with it but mph still is = to power observed. The larger cams did nothing for me except sounded nasty, and took more RPM to launch.
