Default Best twins for a LSX 427?

Think i decided to go twins due to size and need to know what pair will work best. The build is a forged LSX 427 fully ported ,4l80 trans,9" rear mostly street but some track time looking for 1000+ rwhp with quick spool time and maybe some room to grow! Any help would be appreciated plus i need to buy the turbos, wastegates, and bov's so vendors jump on!

precision 67's. With decent compression, heads, cam, and converter you can even go a little larger. We did a lsx 427, 10:1, prc ls7 heads, m6 corvette that spooled twin t4 76's pretty well.

Would you rather have very fast response or would you rather sacrifice some response for more power potential?

For a 1000rwhp 427, twin 35R's would be very fun and have almost no perceptible lag. That's how I prefer it, to get pushed back in the seat -as- you are rolling onto the throttle, not after.

6766's will make a good bit more power but aren't going to have the part throttle hit the 35's have.

How about in the middle of the road with a 6466 ?
I'd love to see some combinations running this turbo.

I would really like a happy med. but if i had to favor a side the quicker responce would win! I know a few guys starting to play with single 6466's on the turbo buicks with nice results!

if you talk with PTE, they say the 6766 is better for most V8 applications.

the 6466 is a great turbo for HIGH rpm motors. like 2.0L evos. lol.

I've been in a FordGT with twin GT35R's and it spooled up too fast. 1st and 2nd gear were pretty much unuseable.... that was even on low boost. They spooled instantly literally.

and thats a 5.4 , could you imagine on a 7.0 ? i would be more concerned about back pressure with the 35s ,427 alone has alot of power and the turbos is just an added bonus

X2. For a primarily street car, 427ci, stock weight, hard to beat the GT3582R, especially the new GTX....At 3900lbs and the Speed Inc kit with GT35's I could pop both bulbs on, hit the transbrake at 3000 rpm (could have footbraked it) and pop off a 1.35 sixty and 9.2 at 146mph at 18psi....more left in it back then.

Yea i have seen allot of bad press on precision lately so i may stay away from them. Running to small a turbo/s was a big concern due to back pressure and i dont want it to be so touchy from instant spool its not driveable on the street!

I raced a 3.0 liter supra that had a 6766 in it. In my 560rwhp NA camaro. And it had no lag. It came out harder than my car did. I wouldn't be worried about lag with two of them on 7 liters.

You could run that set-up for years. I am bad to change combos so I never got close to the limit of those turbos...18psi and 4 bolt heads and never a problem.

We have several customers running similar setups. The Tnetics 6665's have been used quite a bit and also the GTX3582's. Both turbos make the HP you want no problem. Prices are quite a bit different though, but nonetheless both are great units. Both are very compact and offer tons of options for customizing to your setup.

hell I run the GT35R's on a 522 CI motor and they spool awesome, tons of fun to drive, and still makes 1200 rw.

On the other hand, I have 76s on my 427, and although laggier, the TH400 makes it managable.

Id go twin 76's if it was mine. I work on a car with a 427 with twin PT6765's and there is virtually no lag.
