Thanks for all the kind words guys. I give my machinist/engine builder a lot of credit, not everyone would be open to having someone just come and lurk in their shop and pick their brains non-stop. We talked about every minute detail from main bearing clearances, to balance weight, which he got very very tight to walking me through the assembly. I learned so much doing it this way that I wouldn't have learned if I had just bought a motor already built. I have nothing against that, but since I was about 2 years old I've always been fascinated with how things work. It ultimately led me to a career path of a chemist, but I never stopped wanting to take things apart and learn how they worked.

I'm guessing I may be pleasantly surprised with how much power it makes. The heads flow well, the cam is a decent blower cam, intake is setup right from the inlet hat to the fmic to the intake manifold, it all flows pretty well. They only 'questionable' peice to the puzzle is the exhaust. I have regular 1 3/4" qtp's on the car with a 3" off-road y-pipe going to a Magnaflow catback. It's not bad, but I'm guessing some 1 7/8 headers with a 3.5" ypipe would free up some horsepower.

15 psi with a D1 and good heads/cam, I'd guess 750rwhp if its a stick. Maybe more.... All just depends... Either way you will have a blast with it.
